ROCHESTER - Alfred Benjamin Kondrup, 92, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at home with his wife Beatrice (Welch) Kondrup by his side.

Born May 13, 1922, in Danvers, Mass., he moved to Rochester, N.H. at age 6. He was a graduate of Spaulding High School's first graduating class. He served bravely in WWII as an advanced lineman. He worked at General Electric in Somersworth, N.H. for 37 years.

He was predeceased by brothers Charles Roger Kondrup. Richard Earl Kondrup, and sisters Grace Dorothy Archinski, Anna Marie Kincaid, and Pauline Elizabeth Manning.

He is survived by his sons Steven Welch Kondrup and wife Pensri of Las Vegas, Nev.; David Alfred Kondrup and wife Janet of Rochester, N.H.; daughter Janet Lee McCoy and husband Philip of Brookfield, N.H.; sister Gladys Rose Sherlock of Calinga, Calif.; he also had 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He loved gardening, bowling, playing cards, and reading Civil War books.
