ROCHESTER - Alfred (Ted) Poliquin, 69, died peacefully at his home Tuesday, March 7, 2017. He was born February 11, 1948, in Exeter, N.H.
He is survived by his wife Mara (Nuth), son Adam Poliquin and his wife Becky, Mother Marion Rita Poliquin (Morel), brothers Tom Poliquin, Tim Poliquin, Terry Poliquin, and sister Tracy Lang.
He is predeceased by his son Aaron T. Poliquin, and Father Alfred D. Poliquin.
Raised in Epping, N.H., he graduated from UNH in 1971 and went on to work for 32 years at Collins & Aikman Corp (Davidson Rubber / Textron) in Dover as a coatings and deployment technician, attaining many patents in coatings technology. He also worked for Powerspan and the IRS before retiring in 2011.
He studied classical piano which developed into one of his greatest passions, playing organ and keys in bands with his brothers and friends. He was also an avid fisherman. Ted fished with his sons all over N.H., and especially enjoyed time in Pittsburg, N.H., where he never missed a fishing trip on the lakes.
He cherished every moment with his grandchildren Jennifer, Elizabeth, Monica, Mark, and David as well as many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
