Let's gift America on her birthday: Get out of UN, WHO and Paris Climate Accords

To the editor:

On January 7, President Trump issued a memorandum for the heads of executive departments and agencies ordering them to withdraw from using public funds that support international organizations with contrary interests to the U.S. ( 31 UN  entities ). This  appears to be a great birthday gift for America’s 250th anniversary; a serious effort to put American first.

Over and above these Executive actions, Trump has publicly advocated withdrawing from the WHO, WTO, and the Paris Climate Accords. His Administration has opposed Agenda 21/30 Sustainable Development Goals. Also, as only Trump does, he certainly didn’t mince words speaking before the UN. Even though this looks good to Patriots who value American sovereignty and vindicates The John Birch Society’s campaign GET US OUT OF THE UN & GET THE UN OUT OF THE US, it needs more investigation.

Let’s look at this issue more closely; such a critical issue demands public scrutiny. Trump challenged the Deep State powers that be with all of his rhetoric and proposed actions. He pleased Americans who treasure independence by even fulfilling my over 50 year goal of getting out of the UN. However, why doesn’t Trump cut the purse strings? Why won’t Trump support the congressional DEFUND ACT, Senate S.669 and House HB 1498. Both would repeal the United Nations Participation Act of 1945  as well as the 1947 law that allowed the UN Headquarters to exist in New York City and the 1948 legislation authorizing our membership  in the World Health Organization. Canceling payments for an organization that is counter to American interests would be the ideal Independence Day gift.

I urge all Americans who value life, liberty, and property rights to contact Senators and House Representatives. Urge them to Get Us Out of the UN & NATO. An easy way to do this  is to go to legislative alerts at https://gojt.us/p6y5and https://gojt.us/yerj .
