City officials urge safety during heat wave; cooling centers will be open

ROCHESTER - The City of Rochester is reminding residents that City Hall and the Rochester Library are designated cooling locations during high heat and humidity.
City Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Public Library is open Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Important Safety Tips:
Never leave children or pets alone in closed vehicles.
Drink plenty of water, even if you do not feel thirs...
