Monthlong bridge work on Portland Street span begins Monday

ROCHESTER - The Department of Public Works will be closing the Portland Street Bridge over Willow (Wardley Brook) at Chamberlain Street from Monday until Nov. 11 for repairs.
The work will comprise repairs to the concrete structure, reconstructiong of the sidewalk and replacement of the guardrail.
During the closure, vehicle traffic will be detoured via Franklin Street, while pedestrian access will be maintained. No other projects are expected to affect vehicle traffic along the detour route d...
