MILTON - Barbara A. Whitehouse, age 79, of Old Wakefield Road in Milton, NH, died on July 29, 2026 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH, of natural causes.
Born on March 1, 1947 in Northampton, MA, the daughter of Clement Colson and Marie (LaFreniere) Colson, she attended school there.
Barbara had worked as a nurse, and was a homemaker while raising her children. She was the bar manager at the Milton Moose Lodge for a number of years, and was a member of the American Legion Post 7 in Rochester.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, hosting many holiday and summer gatherings for both. She enjoyed the beach and being outdoors in the sunshine.
Survived by her 3 children: James Michalski of Milton, NH, Michael Michalski & his partner Maria LaPierre of Rochester, NH and Kari Theroux & her partner Dennis Prescott of Lebanon, ME, her granddaughters: Carly Michalski of Rochester, NH and MaKenzie Prescott of Lebanon, ME, also, her sister Sandra Russis of Northampton, MA, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and her brother John Colson.
There will be no services held at this time. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held in the fall.
