After barely two years Katie Ambrose announces retirement as Rochester's city manager

ROCHESTER – Katie Ambrose, who took over the city manager position a little over two years ago tendered her resignation Tuesday night.
Ambrose, who was the youngest person and first woman to serve as the city’s chief executive, was hired in July of 2023, following the resignation of former city manager Blaine Cox.
Prior to her promotion to city manager, Ambrose served as deputy city manager and finance director under the Cox administration.
