Teenagers from Dover, Portsmouth charged with arson in inferno at Gilford's famed Kimball Castle a year ago

GILFORD – Dover and Portsmouth men have been arrested in connection with the August 2025 fire at the historic Kimball Castle in Gilford following a lengthy investigation by the state Fire Marshals Office.
Joshua D. Pittman, 18, of Dover, was arrested and charged with felony conspiracy to commit arson and misdemeanor criminal trespass on Sept. 1, and Peyton N. Eastman, 19, of Portsmouth, was charged with felony arson and misdemeanor criminal trespass on Sept. 2.
