DOVER — Does your workplace foster a positive environment, or do toxic communication and practices affect your everyday experience? Is your workplace psychologically safe? Join the Dover Mental Health Alliance for an educational workshop, “Psychological Safety at Work,” on Nov. 4, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the community room at the Dover Police Station.
Employee engagement is essential to organizational wellness and business success. This workshop explores a key factor in engagement, high-performing teams and employee retention: psychological safety.
Learn what organizations across industries—including healthcare, higher education, aviation, and companies like Google—have discovered about the value of psychological safety in creating engaged, empowered, and connected employees. Participants will learn how to recognize and strengthen psychological safety within their own departments and teams.
The DMHA is pleased to welcome Ross Gibson, a leadership and organizational development consultant, facilitator, and Trusted Partner with The Richards Group, where he helps organizations foster leadership growth. Ross is a former senior human resources practitioner with a BA in Social Psychology from Tufts University and an MA in Management from Brandeis University. His leadership experience includes serving as Director and Board member of the Vermont State Council of SHRM and President of the Northeast Human Resources Association. He also serves on the Board of Turning Point of Windham County, an addiction and recovery center in Brattleboro, Vt.
This workshop is the first of three educational programs the DMHA will offer during its September-to-June season. Registration is $25 and includes light refreshments and a certificate of completion.
