One week from today voters from across the Northern Seacoast will cast their ballots in an election that could forever change the fabric of this state and nation.
It used to be that a midterm election was often a dull affair. Without a president on the ticket, many didn’t even bother to vote.
And with the insidious, incessant broadcasting of lies, innuendo, cheap accusations and sleazy tabloid filth on political television ads, some Rochester area residents are saying all politicians are nothing but liars and don’t deserve their vote.
Fifty years ago, or even 25 years ago, I would’ve said, yeah, it’s just the midterms, I’m not gonna vote, either.
But, it’s not Democrat Tip O’Neil and Republican Ronald Reagan having a beer together despite their very different views.
Now it’s Communists, Socialists, pro Hamas sympathizers and anti-Semites on one side, and red-blooded, patriotic Americans on the other side.
And don’t tell me most of the Democrats aren’t Socialists or Communists and don’t tell me they don’t want open borders to assimilate enough illegal aliens into our country to maintain one-party rule forever.
When Biden was running for president, every Democrat I talked to would tell me, “Oh, Joe Biden, he’s middle of the road old-school Democrat. He’s no radical.”
We all know now that was a crock. He opened the borders the first day he took office and let more than 20,000,000 illegals into our nation.
Billions of dollars were spent on their health care, food, loaed up debit cards, education and housing, often in five-star hotels. Twenty million more bodies pushed up the cost of housing and everything else.
Remember, all prices rise and fall due to supply and demand.
They pushed down American workers’ wages and drove up the cost of living, because the Biden administration just kept on printing money to pay the bills. That’s what causes inflation.
Now I understand that the disgusting amount of money spent on spouting lies about all these politicians is reprehensible, even if it may be true!
So don’t vote on the person, vote on the positions they back.
Don’t vote based on the filth their ads spew against their opponent.
Vote on their platform.
Don’t think about the politician.
Think about their policies.
However you feel, The Rochester Voice is urging every person over 18 to please make a plant to absentee vote this week or go to the polls next Tuesday.
God bless America.
