ROCHESTER - The Rochester Public Library Teen Room will hold a variety of events and activities throughout the month of November.

The Teen Fall Reading program started on Sept. 8 and runs through December 20.

Kids ages 11 and up in 6th grade through age 18 can sign up anytime on the Beanstack app or at https://rplnhreads.beanstack.org/. Kids can earn prizes throughout the challenge and enter to win raffle prizes drawn on Dec. 21.

Kids participating in the Middle School Book Club can borrow their books from the library. They are on display in the middle of the Teen Room during the school year.

Spaulding NHS members can earn volunteer hours by reading and writing reviews. This program is managed through Beanstack: https://rplnhreads.beanstack.org/

Drop-in programs are offered on Monday evenings and Wednesdays after school. Families are encouraged to refer to the calendar on Beanstack or the library website at https://rpl.lib.nh.us/teens for more information.

The hit film "Night at the Museum" will be on the “Big Screen” on Nov. 23 at 5:30. No sign-up is necessary.

It is also worth noting that we have two growing groups of readers and writers that meet regularly in the teen room. No registration is needed.

“Teens are invited to the library to do homework, hang out with friends, create something or play a game in the maker space, read, or draw on the whiteboard tables. There is something here for everyone.”

-  Amy Lemelin, Teen Librarian.
