April S. Patch ... volunteered for Christmas charity

LEBANON, Maine - April S. Patch, 46, died suddenly Sunday, October 11th, 2020 at her home in Lebanon.

April was born April 25, 1974 in, Portland, the daughter of Susan and Michael Merrill. April dedicated her whole life to loving and caring for her family and serving the Lord. She had the biggest heart and was known as the type of person to "give you the shirt off her back" if you needed it. She loved watching her grandson Jac and feeding him M&M's for dinner to sugar him up before sending him home and teaching him to grow up to be a New England Patriot's fan.

On holidays you could find her blasting Christmas music throughout the house, dancing in the living room, making "not shiny potatoes" in the kitchen, and dressing her family up in Christmas jammies. These were just a few of her favorite family traditions. She loved cooking and feeding her family and taking trips down south with her husband. She had an endless amount of love for her family and was especially proud of her children. They were her whole world and anybody who knew her knew that about her, and they loved her back immensely.

April loved trips to Hobby Lobby and decorating her home. She attended Grace Baptist Church in Rochester, NH and spent her spare time assembling shoeboxes filled with toys for Operation Christmas Child, a charity that provided gifts to children in need around the world. She never went a day without reading her Bible and dedicated her life to helping those in need and serving the Lord.

Members of her family include her loving husband of 4 years, James Michael Patch; daughter, Amber Nicole Cognato and boyfriend Kevin Rouillard; son, Joseph Anthony Cognato and girlfriend Danielle Prive; grandchild; Joseph (Jac) Anthony Cognato Jr.; parents, Susan and Michael Merrill; brothers, Daniel Merrill and Kevin Merrill; sisters, Christina Baptiste and Kaitlyn O'Neill; grandparents, Elwin and Margaret Merrill; uncle, Anthony Morey and cousins; and several nieces and nephews.
