DOVER - Dover and Rochester police reported on Thursday that they had handled complaints of tainted candy handed out on Halloween.

One Dover resident reported a strange smell while a Rochester resident reported a pin hole in a candy wrapper.

Neither incident was ultimately able to be verified.

Both departments urged residents to contact them if they thought candy they received was tainted in any way.
