ROCHESTER - Rochester Police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in last week’s armed robbery at the Residence Inn and are asking for the public’s help in locating him.

Okiemute Leo Omatie (known as Leo), 19, of 28 Fifth Street, Dover, N.H., is wanted in connection with the crime, in which a woman was robbed of a computer tablet, money and drugs.

An alleged accomplice in the case, Tasha Loaiza, 21, of 17 Norway Plains Road #43, Rochester, was charged with armed robbery and faces a probable cause hearing later this week. She is being held on $5,000 cash bail.

Police say they first got a call at 10:33 a.m. on June 15 for a report of an armed robbery at the Rochester Residence Inn #17 at 182 Milton Road.

The victim said she heard a knock at her door and opened the door and a female whom she knew came in, police said. She said that an unknown black male walked in behind this female. The male then pulled out a knife and both the female and the black male proceeded to threaten the victim asking for drugs and money, police said.

Omatie also has ties to the Somersworth and Rochester area. He is described as African-American, about 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
Rochester Police are asking anyone with information on Omatie to call them at 603-330-7128.
