ROCHESTER - Dana Gilbert, 48, passed away unexpectedly in March of 2014.

Born September 6, 1965 in Rochester, he was the son of the late Roland and Sarah (Dalton) Gilbert.

Dana worked as a glazier for Granite State Glass in Rochester and worked for many years at Portland Glass in Dover.

He loved baseball both playing and coaching. He had coached at both Roger Allen and Babe Ruth in Rochester for many years, played for Post 7 Legion, Rochester Cardinals and MSBL. He also enjoyed fishing and playing golf.

Members of his family include his children Andrew Gilbert with girlfriend Emma and Benjamin Gilbert of Rochester; his siblings Donald Gilbert and Mark Gilbert and partner Terry Spillane of Lynn, Mass.; and Paula Couture and husband Richard Belanger of Rochester. Nieces and nephews: Matthew and Stephanie Couture with great nephew Kason of Naugatuck, Conn.; Katrina and Tom of California, Stephen and Brittney with great niece Natalie of Washington, Ashley and Ryan of N.J., Lauren, Colin, Reese, Carmela and Alex of N.H.
