KITTERY, Maine - Due to a undisclosed police incident today, the Piscataqua River Bridge is currently closed, and Interstate-95 is shut down in both directions.
Northbound traffic from New Hampshire into Maine is completed blocked, and southbound traffic is being diverted at Exit 3 in Kittery, according to a statement released from the Maine Dept. of Safety around 5 a.m. today.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes if possible. The duration of the closure is unknown at this time. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
