MILTON - Come November Milton residents may see longtime resident Devon Pageau one day as a firefighter ... and another as a policeman.

That's because Pageau, the assistant chief at Milton Fire and Rescue, was sworn in at Monday's selectmen's meeting as a part-time Milton Police Officer.

Krauss said on Wednesday that his department is still down two full-time officers, so he's glad to have Pageau come aboard as a part-timer.

Pageau, who joined the Explorer Program with Milton Fire in 2001, graduated from Farmington High in 2002.

He was promoted to lieutenant with Milton Fire and Rescue in 2005, became a captain in 2006 and the assistant fire chief in 2009.

Pageau is also the 911 program coordinator for the town.

Krauss said once Pageau's part-time police training is over, he will be assisting with shift coverage and with Milton Police Department Marine Patrol shifts in the summer.
