Bank manager gets 4-8 years for stealing almost $100G from once customer's accounts

BRENTWOOD - A Stratham woman who was a branch manager for TD Bank was sentenced to four to eight years in state prison on Friday for stealing almost $100,000 from several deposit accounts belonging to a bank customer.

Britt K. Landsperger, 46, pleaded guilty to theft by unauthorized taking and was sentenced to four to eight years, with two to four suspended for a period of five years. She will also serve 100 hours of community service.

Landsperger also pleaded guilty to four additional counts of theft by unauthorized taking and was sentenced to five to10 years, all suspended for five from the date of her release. The suspended sentences are to be served concurrently with one another and consecutively to the stand committed sentence. Suspension of the sentences is conditioned upon good behavior and having no contact with the 69-year-old victim.

An investigation revealed that between 2013 and 2018, Landsperger obtained or exercised unauthorized control over money from seven bank accounts belonging to the victim. The total value of the money taken from all of the accounts was $94,302.

Restitution to the victim has been made in full by TD Bank.

This case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant Attorney General Brandon H. Garod, chief of the Consumer Protection Bureau and was a result of a joint investigation conducted by Attorney General's Office, along with the Portsmouth Police Department and TD Bank.
