Bankers cash in at Chamber's Septemberfest golf social

BERWICK, Maine - The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce held its 6th annual "SeptemberFest" 9-Hole Golf Social on Tuesday at The Links at Outlook Golf Course.

Taking home first place was the Holy Rosary Credit Union team of Brian Therrien, Doug Gilman, Dave Keefe and Jim Brock with a score of 30. Each were provided with a 1st place beer stein and a round of golf at The Links at Outlook, sponsored by Amcomm Wireless, Liberty Mutual Group and The Links at Outlook.

Winning 2nd place was the team of Jonathan Shapleigh, Dave Verno, Keith Newton and Pete Ventura with a score of 32 - each were provided with a golf trophy, sponsored by Amcomm Wireless and Liberty Mutual Group.

All participants were treated to a fall-themed event featuring many fun surprises including spinning around a whiffle ball bat, participating in a team relay race hole, and many others.

The Best Dressed Team award went to the team of Cheryl Thompson, Sharla Rollins, Kathy Sessler and Julie Reynolds.

Immediately following the golf event, The Links at Outlook Golf Course hosted an awards and social hour for players featuring delicious beer

tastings by Sam Adams, hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. A Golfer's Gulp Beer Cooler filled with a variety of fall beers was raffled at the event with the winner being Lisa Poulin.
