ROCHESTER - Barbara Pomroy, of Adrien Avenue, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at the Frisbie Memorial hospital after a long illness. Born September 9, 1936 in New Britain, Conn., she was the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Romaine) Gelinas.
Barbara was a cook for the school lunch program in Rochester for many years.
Members of her family include her husband Merle Pomroy of Rochester, William Pomroy and his wife Elaine of Lebanon, Maine, four grandchildren; Joshua, Travis, Samantha and Brianna, two great grandchildren; Cooper and Kia, a sister, Lauretta Andrews of Rochester, she is predeceased by a son Steven Pomroy.
