BERWICK, Maine - A Berwick woman was seriously injured late Sunday night in a fiery crash on Route 9.
Police say Kathryn Brooks, 23, was driving a Honda Accord in the area of Heritage Lane around 9:50 p.m. when the crash occurred and the vehicle burst into flames.
Two Good Samaritans who witnessed the crash were able to get Brooks, who had been ejected, away from the burning vehicle.
Brooks was transported to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, N.H., before being transported to Mass General Hospital in Boston by Lifeflight.
The crash is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Berwick Police.
