The Business and Industry Association will be presenting a four-hour webinar devoted to pressing energy matters in New Hampshire on Tuesday.

The webinar will run from 9-11 a.m. followed by a break for lunch before resuming from 1-3 p.m.

New Hampshire's energy policies are a constant topic of debate at the State House in Concord. If not handled correctly, energy policy can exacerbate the state's current energy crisis with increased energy prices and reduced reliability, outcomes that could put Granite State businesses, particularly manufacturers which drive the state's economy, at a competitive disadvantage in domestic and international markets.

Electricity prices in New Hampshire are already 50-60 percent higher than the national average year-round. Policies that force heavy reliance on emerging energy technology may increase electric rates and put system reliability at risk.
