Two Doors Down's Blackened Caesar Salad was downright delicious. (Rochester Voice photo)

SOMERSWORTH - If you like to dine at a tavern bursting with energy, where waitresses bust their ass serving drinks behind the bar and food at tables, too, where you can play some Keno to the tune of an occasional dog barking for his owner's scraps, well, you'll love Two Doors Down in Somersworth.

If you've ever been across the pond, it might even remind you of an Irish or British pub.

They have some great food including what I had: Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad, which boasts a full half head of Romaine lettuce tossed with juicy, moist strips of seasoned white meat blackened to perfection, croutons, finely shredded Parmesan cheese, and their house made Caesar dressing.

The salad came out in 10 minutes with the chicken piping hot and the rest perfectly chilled.

The tavern is dog friendly, but these pooches are all very well behaved and are schooled in dining etiquette to be sure.

The beers are quire reasonable, $275 for a half pint. The humongous Caesar salad was an even $10. If you add in a $3 tip and the $5 I lost at Keno, you're talking about $20.

Two Doors Down is located at 369 NH-108, Somersworth, NH 03878

Btw, is Keno money lost during a business lunch a tax write-off?
