Both drivers say they were green to go in head-on crash

ROCHESTER - Rochester police are today trying to determine who was at fault in a two-vehicle collision at the entrance to the Hannaford's Plaza on North Main Street on Thursday.

The preliminary investigation indicates Jack Doyle, 81 of Wakefield, was driving a 2005 Dodge Caravan and headed toward downtown when June Glidden, 65 of Farmington, who was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado, was headed west and turned into the plaza.

The vehicles met head-on.

When police arrived both drivers claimed they had a green light or green arrow.

Glidden was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for precautionary reasons. Both operators were wearing seat belts.
