ROCHESTER - Brad Tafton, born September 1, 1941 died on April 30, 2021 surrounded by his loving family in Rochester where he'd been residing for the majority of his adult life and into his final years.

He was the son of N. Parker Trafton and Barbara Hanson Trafton. Raised in Sanbornville, he graduated with the class of 1959 from Spaulding High School, in Rochester. He attended Burdette College in Boston l 1961. He was baptized on Easter Day 1942 by the Rt. Rev. John Thompson Dallas, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire. From 1962 to 1975 he was director of the Church School of the Church of the Redeemer, in Rochester under the direction of Father Donald H. Marsh, Rector of the church.

From 1969 to 1975 he was a part of the Rochester Jaycees, 1975-1977 he was the U.S. Jaycee Representative to the Pacific NW States residing in Boise, Idaho. Through those Jaycee years he made many lifelong friendships. His church work was at St. Michael's Cathedral, Boise. He was in charge of Jaycee Activities in Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Washington State, Alaska, Hawaii, from 1977 to 1978 he was the U.S. Jaycees Representative to NE States New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. From April of 1978 to October 1980 he was Directive of State Services for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, while residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During his Oklahoma time he volunteered at St. Johns Church, Tulsa. In 1980 He became the Executive Vice President of the Iowa State Jaycees resigning to become the State Chairman of the Bosse for Governor Campaign in his home state of NH in 1981. From 1981 to 1982 he was on the Staff of Byrnes Auto at Dover Point. From 1982-to 1987 he was the Executive Director of the NH March of Dimes.

In 1987 he married Elaine Ouellette. They celebrated 33 years of marriage in July of 2020. In 1987 he became part of the staff of the Poor People's Pub in Sanbornville. In 1990 he became the Executive Director of the Rochester Jaycee's heading up the Rochester Jaycee Hall. In 1995 he became a Roman Catholic and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Leo's of Gonic and Holy Rosary of Rochester.

After nearly 12 years of nursing home work at Rochester Manor as Director of Activities, he retired in 2005. Since 2005, in his retirement he assisted at Edgerly's, Grondin's and Peaslee Funeral Homes and also participated in serval wedding services.

He was predeceased by his parents, first wife Glenna Trafton, his niece Barbra Demarco, nephew James Trafton, and his aunt Mary Wiles.

He leaves behind his wife Elaine Trafton, his four children Stephen Trafton (Vicki Trafton), Stephanie Auclair (Marc Aulcair) , Sarita Sheltry (Brian Sheltry), Scott Trafton (Shyanne Labrecque), his grandchildren Katie McCauley (Christopher McCauley), Kyle Trafton, Halley Palmer (Rich Gori), Christian Palmer (Rachel Sans), Justine Auclair (Christopher Spaulding), Justin Auclair, Sophia Sheltry, Benjamin Sheltry, Andrew Trafton, Allison Trafton, and Alexander Trafton, and great grandchildren Fionian McCauley, Declan McCauley, Seamus Sans, Damian Palmer, Jacoby Palmer, Brayden Spaulding, his brother Robert Trafton (Sheila Trafton), his uncle Skip Wiles, and best friend (brother) Charles Ward as well as scores of cousins and close friends.
