ROCHESTER - Brett H. MacDonald, 56, of 47 Pray St. died Thursday, September 4, 2014, at his mother's home after a long illness.

Born June 23, 1958, in Rochester, he is the son of the Richard and Shirley (Glidden) MacDonald.

Brett is a lifelong resident of Rochester. He was a graduate of Spaulding High School and later worked as the manager of the meat cutting department at Shaw's and S&S grocery in Rochester. Brett enjoyed spending time on his Harley with good friends and his morning coffee runs.

In his final days, he was well taken care of and cherished by his loving mother, brother, sister-in-law and daughter.

Members of his family include his Mother Shirley MacDonald of Rochester, his daughter Shelby MacDonald and her boyfriend John Cadry of Denver, Colo., his brothers; Scott MacDonald and his wife Tina of Harwich, Mass. and Gary MacDonald of Milton, an aunt, Donna Jerome of Rochester, many cousins, He is predeceased by his father, Richard MacDonald and a sister, Sheryl Sprague.
