ROCHESTER - The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce recently held a collection of items to benefit the children at the Homeless Center for Strafford.

Various items were collected including new books for children ages 8-17, new puzzles for children ages 12-plus, toilet paper and paper towels. Collection bins were located at the Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony held on Dec. 1 in Rochester's Central Square, as well as at the Rochester Service Credit Union locations (South Main Street and Walmart) and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce office.

Sally Struble, the Executive Director at the Homeless Center for Strafford County, picked up the donated items at the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce office on Monday. More than 50 items were presented by Service Credit Union Branch Manager Candace Rowell and Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Laura Ring.

The collection was sponsored by Service Credit Union.
