ROCHESTER - Charles "Chuck" Balok, 56, died at home on Salmon Falls Road, Rochester, on Sept. 4, 2020 after a long period of declining health due to complications of diabetes mellitus.

Charles was born in Weymouth, Mass., on October 27, 1963.

He is survived by his parents, Michael W. Balok and Marguerite Perrine Balok and sister Rebecca M. Balok-Searles.

The Balok family settled in the Seacoast Area in 1972. Charles lived in Northwood and Pittsfield for several years before returning to his roots in the Tri-City Area. Charles was a handsome, charming child endowed with a friendly, adventurous spirit. He showed early on a passion for playing the guitar - self-taught with a keen ear and a mind for music.

Vocationally, Charles worked at many jobs including: roofing, carpet and office cleaning, industrial boiler operator, modular home production worker. While making modular homes, Charles suffered a permanent disabling injury.

After being disabled, Charles devoted his time and energy to his vocation as a musician. By doing what he loved, he made many long lasting friendships.

Charles strived to be a loving compliant and obedient to the will of his Heavenly Father and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Charles treated others with love, compassion and respect, especially children and hurting friends. He was always willing to help everyone.
