ROCHESTER - Charles J. Gerrish, Sr. 82, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015, at his home following a period of failing health.
Born February 14, 1933, in Rochester, he was the son of the late William and Florence (Nye) Gerrish.
Mr. Gerrish served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He later worked as a setup man for Spaulding Composites for many years. He was a former City Councilman for the City of Rochester, a member of the Rochester Elks Lodge 1393, a former member of the Eastern, NH Pomona and the Nute Ridge Grange.
He loved spending time with his family, camping, and eating out.
Members of his family include his wife of 54 years, Nancy (Scruton) Gerrish of Rochester, N.H.; his children Charles Gerrish, Jr and wife Tracy and Ramona Osborne and husband Raymond all of Rochester, N.H.; his grandchildren Christopher Chesley, Jr. and companion Laura, Stacy Woodward and husband Nate, and Raymond Osborne, Jr. as well as four great grandchildren Jagger, Hannah, Charlie Grace, and Sean.
He was predeceased by his sister Helen Braase.
