ROCHESTER - Rochester Fire officials today are investigating the cause of a blaze that struck a Charles Street home early Monday.

The fire at 149 Charles St. was called in around 12:35 a.m. and quickly brought under control, but still took heavy damage.

Two women inside the home at the time of the blaze got out safely.

The fire appeared to have begun on the porch, according to safety officials.
