Church offers free faith-, science-based recovery course

ROCHESTER - Trinity Anglican Church will offer its third Deep Recovery course beginning in March.

The course is for anyone struggling with a wide range of life-controlling problems, from anxiety to substance misuse. It is the only faith-based, trauma informed course in the country that teaches applied cognitive and emotional skills to help change behavior from the inside out.

The course includes dinner and a workbook, and classes are a combination of teaching and discussion. It is entirely free and child-care is provided. The course starts March 3 at 6:30 p,n, and runs for 12 weeks.

The workbook and course is created and directed by the Rev. Matthew Mirabile. Fr. Mirabile has run multiple Reboot Combat Recovery courses in the area. He is a certified spiritual director and has certifications in addiction and clinical pastoral care.

Classes are in person and space is limited. Social distancing and masks are required as per COCID-19 guidelines.
