ROCHESTER - It's going to get a little busier at Rochester's Community Center next month.
Besides moving the city's tax office there from its downtown Wakefield Street office across from City Hall, the City Council will soon return to inperson meeting in the the center's Community Room (old cafetorium).
City Manager Blaine Cox said on Friday he hopes to have the full council return to inperson meetings by April 20 when he expects to present his proposed budget.
Cox said there's plenty of room to allow for social distancing but he will suggest that council members wear masks and follow all other virus protocols.
The tax office move is expected to be completed around mid-April.
Cox said a lot of work has been done to the Community Center's interior like new flooring and wall treatments as well as installation of LED lighting and additional artwork on both the first and second floors.
