ROCHESTER - A Rochester man is facing arraignment next month on two felony counts in the theft of items from a truck on Milton Road a week ago.
Kevin R. Badger, 47, of 105 Whitehouse Road, is charged with theft of lost or mislaid property (two prior thefts) and theft by unauthorized taking (two prior convictions). Badger is also charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass.
Police got involved last Sunday around 10:30 a.m. when a caller into dispatch reported suspicious activity on Milton Road. According to Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham, the caller reported there were three people behind a building going into a truck and removing parts.
"Officers arrived and located the three individuals reported to be involved," Pinkham said. "One of the individuals, identified as Kevin Badger, was exiting the building when police arrived, and a vehicle belonging to him was located on the property. Police also noticed items from the property inside the vehicle."
Badger was immediately taken into custody, booked and released on personal recognizance pending an October arraignment.
