City man gets 60 days for domestic violence assault

DOVER - A Rochester man will spend 60 days in county jail after pleading guilty to DV simple assault on Monday in Strafford County Superior Court.

Johnny Robles, 24, of Portland Street was sentenced to 12 months with all but two months suspended.

Robles was indicted in October on felony charges in connection with a Sept. 18 strangulation attack. The Class B felony that could've landed him in jail for up to seven years was dropped and replaced with a Class A misdemeanor for which he was sentenced on Monday.

Robles will also have to undergo treatment, education and counseling as directed by corrections personnel.

Robles will serve his 60 days confinement at Strafford County House of Correction beginning in December, according to sentencing documents.
