City man nabbed in alcohol shoplifting at Lil' Mart

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man who allegedly shoplifted alcohol from a Rochester convenience store was arrested nearby after a resident called police to report an intoxicated male in the vicinity.

The incident began around 6 p.m. when officers responded to the area of the Residence Inn on Milton Road for a report of an intoxicated subject. While on their way to the Residence Inn, an employee from the Lil' Mart on Milton Road  called to report a male stole a bottle of alcohol from their business. 

Soon after responding, officers arrested Robert Dwyer, 26 of Tonka Street for a misdemeanor charge of willful concealment.  Dwyer refused bail and was transported to Strafford County Jail to await arraignment today in Rochester District Court.
