City motorcyclist charged with OAS after Sunday crash on Blackwater Road

ROCHESTER - A Rochester motorcyclist was charged with operating after suspension and several other traffic violations after he collided with an SUV on Blackwater Road on Sunday.

The crash occurred in the area of 280 Blackwater Road around 4:25 p.m. police say Thurlon Thompson, 30, riding his Suzuki motorcycle east on Blackwater Road and crashed into a westbound GMC Terrain driven by James Mixer, 37, of Rochester.

Thompson was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife threatening injuries, while Mixer was treated on scene.

Blackwater Road was closed for a short period of time during an investigation of the accident.

As a result of the investigation Thompson was charged with operating after suspension, highway markings violation, speeding and for not having a motorcycle endorsement.
