ROCHESTER - Rochester Schools are asking parents to voice their thoughts and feelings about whether to end the holiday quarantine put in place prior to Thanksgiving.
The quarantine enacted by the board is set to end on Jan. 19 after the observance of the MLK holiday.
The survey seeks a barometer of parents and guardians enthusiasm in returning to an inschool model.
"Your response to this brief survey will be one piece of data considered as the board sets our course in the new year," Rochester School Supt. Kyle Repucci said in introducing the survey.
"Currently, Strafford County has a 7-Day Test Positivity of 10.5% which is the second-highest county in the state behind Hillsborough/Nashua/Manchester," Repucci noted. "Per the state of New Hampshire, the city of Rochester also has a 10.5% positivity rate with roughly 146 COVID positive (PCR) cases and Frisbie Memorial Hospital has roughly 50% of its COVID beds filled."
