ROCHESTER - The City of Rochester's Emergency Operations Center announced today that city and school-owned playgrounds and other equipment in public spaces are prohibited from public use until further notice.

General open spaces, like parks and trails, remain open for residents to get outdoors for exercise. However, any physical equipment or structures within those spaces are off-limits to the public.

Park visitors should be aware that benches are not sanitized or cleaned, and they are therefore urged to avoid using them.

The following recreation and park spaces are closed until further notice:

All city and school playgrounds (physical structures)

Squamanagonic Disc Golf Course

Hanson Pines basketball courts

Tennis courts

Pickleball courts

Picnic tables

Pavilions and bandstands

Any other physical objects, structures or equipment
