ROCHESTER - Many of Rochester's restaurants are keeping a stiff upper lip as many of them continued working today even though no sitdown dining is allowed due to coronavirus concerns.
At Little Miss Sophie's on Farmington Road, diningroom manager Donna Markland said she and a skeleton shift are putting out breakfasts to go.
"We're hoping to be in it for the long haul," Markland said. "We'll do it for as long as possible."
Brickstones is also open and planning on serving up a takeout St. Patty's Day lunch of corned beef and cabbage.
"We'll be open till 3 p.m.," an employee said. "We're playing it by ear."
The Lilac City Grille was also expected to be open.
The Governor's Inn said they'll also be ready for takeout orders.
Meanwhile, one Rochester eatery is expanding its delivery capabilities offering to bring pizzas to residents as far away as Milton, Somerswroth and Lebanon, Maine.
Clemento's Pizza and Brew, located at the Lowe's-Kohl's shopping center, will have free delivery for all Rochester orders over $20 and a $2 dollar delivery charge for orders under $20. Farmington and Barrington will have a $4 delivery fee and a $20 minimum order.
In addition Clemento's will have a delivery special of 2 large pizzas of any kind and a 2 liter of soda for $22 for as long as the restaurant dining prohibition is in effect.
Clemento's said they are happy to deliver to Lebanon, Maine, Somersworth and Milton but customers should call first to check for availability.
Their hours of operation for delivery and carryout will be Monday-Thursday: 11:30 am-2 pm and 5 pm-9 pm, Friday: 11:30 am-2 pm and 5 pm-10 pm; Saturday: 11:30 am-10 pm; and Sunday: 11:30 am-7 pm
Meanwhile, Revolution Taproom and Grill is closed until April 3 at the earliest, according to a recorded phone message heard upon calling the popular eatery.
