ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested on Monday after threatening to shoot a Salvation Army staff person who called police after they said they caught him using drugs in the bathroom there.

The report for a disturbance came in around 1:05 p.m. with someone from the Salvation Army Worship and Service Center on Olde Farm Lane saying that the man had been caught using drugs and was now screaming, banging on a door and threatening staff.

The teenage suspect then tried to run away, but was caught on Summer Street, Rochester Police Capt. Jason Thomas said today.

Anthony Wallace Freeman, 18, of 100 Rochester Hill Road, Apt. #E1, was charged with two Class B misdemeanors for not leaving when requested (criminal trespass), displaying his hand as a gun as he threatened an employee (criminal threatening) and a violation of disorderly conduct for yelling profanities and acting aggressively outside the building.

Freeman was released on personal recognizance with an arraignment set for next month.
