ROCHESTER - The Rochester woman arrested Thursday in a Maine arson case and suspected in a car theft and arson fire a week ago at a Lebanon car dealer was arrested by Rochester Police in a separate incident last month on felony charges of receiving stolen property, a Rochester Police captain said on Tuesday.
Jaymi Lynn Hutchins, 30, was arrested on Oct. 3, Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau said.
Hutchins is also facing multiple charges of arson and criminal mischief by the Oxford (Maine) County Sheriff's Office following what appeared to be an arson fire at a vacation home on the North Road in Gilead that occurred on Oct. 26.
When Hutchins was arrested in Gilead Thursday she was driving a car stolen from a Lebanon car dealer early the morning of Oct. 25. Fire Marshals are now investigating both the Lebanon and Gilead fires with Hutchins the prime suspect.
Three cars and a wrecker were damaged or destroyed in the Lebanon fire at AC Provo Used Cars and Towing in East Lebanon in the Oct. 25 incident.
Upon her arrest she was transported to the Oxford County Jail and later transferred to Two Bridges Jail in Wiscasset where she is being held on $10,000 cash bail.
Her next court appearance in Oxford County Superior Court is set for Jan. 25.
