ROCHESTER - A Rochester woman has been indicted in connection with an alleged assault in August in which she is said to have punched and kicked the victim, then slammed her head against the ground at least twice.
According to court documents, Amanda Perry, 28, of 16 Pine St, caused the woman’s head to strike the ground more than once, resulting in a second-degree assault felony charge, which is punishable by up to 7 years in prison.
Perry also faces two misdemeanor simple assault charges in connection with the Aug. 24 incident, for allegedly punching and kicking the victim. Both misdemeanors carry jail terms of up to a year apiece.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has found sufficient evidence for the case to move forward with a trial.
