ROCHESTER - Rochester Mayor Chuck Grassie is hoping that the codes and ordinance committee will finalize any discussion on both the City Council Code of Ethics and Rules of Order tonight, so it can go back to the City Council for a vote on Feb. 3.
"I expect on Thursday we'll adopt the new Rules of Order, because we already discussed it during the Workshop unless something comes up," he told The Rochester Voice. "If that happens we'll have another meeting in codes."
Grassie expects the Code of Ethics policy will also be OK'd.
The Code of Ethics ordinance, however, still has a lot of work to be done before it's ready, he said.

"I don't want to rush the ordinance, because we want to make sure it's right," he added.
The Code of Ethics ordinance outlines the method of adjudicating any alleged code of ethics violation.

Tonight's Special Meeting of the codes and ordinance committee begins at 6 p.m. in City Council chambers at City Hall.
