Comcast announced on Friday that construction is under way to connect more than 7,000 additional homes and businesses in Farmington, Milton and New Durham.

The project is expected to be completed in 2027. Comcast's expansion to Farmington, Milton and New Durham is part of the company's latest investment in Strafford County, which also includes expansions to Rochester and the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.

A portion of the Milton expansion is supported by the State of New Hampshire's Broadband Matching Grant Initiative (BMGI), which funds broadband infrastructure projects aimed at delivering high-speed Internet to unserved and underserved locations, where previously it was not geographically and economically feasible for providers to expand.
