COPYRIGHT2017© PORTSMOUTH - The condition of a Rochester woman seriously injured in a Friday morning accident on Farmington Road has been upgraded to fair, a Portsmouth Regional Hospital spokesperson said today.

Heather A. Mills, 27, was one of three injured in a three vehicle crash around 7:35 a.m. in the area of 184 Farmington Road, and upon arrival at the Portsmouth hospital had been listed in critical.

The other two victims suffered what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries and were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Police say the accident occurred when a 2007 Ford Fusion, driven by 29-year-old Danielle M. Gricci of East Wakefield, was traveling westbound preparing to stop for a left hand turn when she was struck from behind by a 2014 Hino box truck, driven by David M. Paskell, 55, of Weare. The impact pushed Gricci's vehicle into the eastbound lane where it struck a 2012 Hyundai Sonata driven by Mills.

A dog traveling in Gricci's vehicle later had to be put down due to injuries sustained in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
