Cost-saving innovation nets $$$ for city workers

ROCHESTER - Kay Snyder, Human Resource/Payroll Specialist and Angie Gray, Account Clerk have been awarded $150 each for devising a method of savings for the city in the amount of $1,200.00. This will become an annual savings to the city.

The savings were a result of using regular printer paper for direct deposit advices. Previously the city used a specialty deposit paper.

The city's suggestion program is intended to encourage input from employees regarding their work environment in order to make the organization more efficient and more responsive to the public. Suggestions for improvement of any work-related subject are encouraged. Suggestions leading to a more efficient and effective means of delivering municipal services may be considered for a monetary Suggestion Award.
