SANBORNVILLE - Daniel R. Davis, 71, of Wayside Inn in Sanbornville, died at Mountain View Nursing Home on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, after an extended illness.
Born April 14, 1945, in Milton Mills the son of Daniel N. and Helen (Colby) Davis. He graduated from Nute High School in 1963 and served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.

Dan retired as Road Agent for the Town of Wakefield after 18 years. Prior to working for the town, he had many business ventures that included construction work, selling used cars and owning and operating Colby's Old Place in Rochester, N.H. He was also a founding father of the Poor People's Pub in Sanbornville. He enjoyed spending time at his beautiful home on Lovell Lake.
Survived by his son, Daniel J. Davis; his daughter and son-in-law, Jayme and John Sullivan; four grandchildren, Abby, Jack, and Casey Sullivan, and Troy Dancoes; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Doug Joy; a sister-in-law, Janet Davis; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, his son, Casey Davis, his two brothers, Roger and Bryan Davis, and three nephews.
