Dispatch center chief recognized as part of National Telecommunicator week

Dispatch Communications Center Manager Keri Devine

In honor of National Telecommunicator week (April 12-18), a time to show appreciation for emergency public safety communications specialists, The Rochester Police Department would like to thank their Dispatch Communications Center Manager Keri Devine for all that she does.

Great bosses' jobs are not just a job to them, but rather a passion and they want to pass that passion along to other members of their teams to create a successful team unit, which Keri has done. Keri has been working full time and per diem for the Rochester Police department since 2007. She has always been a core member of the team here at Rochester Dispatch and has many people who look up to her. When Keri was hired as the full communications supervisor in 2019, it quickly became evident that Keri is able to jump into any role needed and become a productive member of the team - an attribute that is so important for the uncertain calls that they deal with daily. Since being named the supervisor for the center, Keri provides guidance to new members, and as one employee puts it, " it has been a pleasure to be able to learn from her and work with her during this unforeseen time". "Keri is always very quick to make sure that dispatch, a role easily overlooked, feels appreciated and valued. We are very thankful that she is our leader and want to say a huge thank you for the tremendous job that she has done so far this year"!

Again, thank you Keri for all that you have done since taking on the role as the leader or our communications center! We look forward to your continued success.
