Donald A. Lemire ... longtime carpenter



ROCHESTER - Donald A. Lemire, 79, died Friday, July 17, 2015, at the Colonial Hill Center in Rochester, after a period of failing health.
Don was born in Sanford, Maine, on October 19, 1935, the son of Avila and Lea (Lavoie) Lemire and had been living in Rochester since 1986, moving from Dover. He was a carpenter his entire life, fixing everything from a broken bird house to multi-million dollar hotels. His family always came first. He enjoyed metal scrapping, hunting and fishing. Don was a friend of Bill W. for 25 years. He was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Freeman and Margaret "Maggie" Pease and two brothers, Robert "Buddy" Lemire and Bill Lavoie.
Surviving members of the family include: his wife of 52 years, Rose (Raymond) Lemire of Rochester, N.H.; two daughters, Karen Hudson and her husband Mark of Sanbornville, N.H. and Katherine Lloyd and her husband George P. of Rochester; two sisters, Alice Green of New Port Richey, Fla., and Florence Zremsek of Somersworth; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
