DOVER - The Strafford County Sheriff's Office is holding an open house on Thursday for anyone looking to clear up their outstanding arrest warrants. According to Sheriff Mark Brave, the Strafford County Sheriff's Office will have a bail commissioner standing by from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. so that anybody who believes they may have an outstanding arrest warrant can come in, get it resolved and get a new court date.

Even if they have a capias, which requires a hearing with a judge, Brave said they'll do their best to get them before a judge and bailed out as soon as possible. He said anyone with a capias should arrive earlier so they can get before a judge around 1 p.m.

According to Brave, it could save someone from having their car towed if they're pulled over on the road, or if they have a Superior Court capias, it could keep them from spending a day or two in jail if they're arrested on a Friday night or weekend.
